When I started Dark Horse Diva I wanted something different for my home. That piece of furniture no one else had, in a finish that fit my style, and my home, and I just wasn’t finding it, so I created it! With each project I would share my pictures on social media and people loved it! I started realizing, I wasn’t the only one that wanted something different, something unique! I have a love for the quality that antique, vintage, and hand crafted furniture offers. You can’t find that character in furniture today and I love to relove pieces.
Hi there, I'm Sara
Let me tell you a little bit about myself. I am a wife to a pretty awesome guy, who happens to own his own business too, and together we have 4 pretty cool kids! 2 boys and 2 girls. They keep us on our toes, and in truth, they are my world! They drive me crazy, but I was heading there anyways. I am the only girl in my family, with 3 brothers who I blame for my sarcasm and my ability for a well placed one liner. When I was a kid, one of my favorite things to do was go visit my grandparents. They had retired from the farm to town and my grandpa had this workshop in their basement where he made things. He could carve a spindle or make a beautiful wooden shelf and so many things in between. My grandma always did the finishing work, the staining or painting. I could sit in there and watch my grandpa work for hours, and I know I did. Fast Forward just a few years, (or decades) 😉 and here I am now!
